YAMA celebrates #ArtsMatterDay

Each year at the end of October, we join our partners at MassCreative in taking to social media to share all the ways that the arts make a difference in our lives. This online day of action gives the creative community a chance to broadcast stories of impact and make the case that arts and creativity should be an expected, well-funded, and valued part of everyday life. Here are this year's posts from #ArtsMatterDay.

YAMA's program coordinator on why #ArtsMatter

"The arts are magic! The arts teach people to take the world they envision and make it a reality. If you can dream something, then you can draw it, act it, sing it - make it real in the world around you. You conjure an idea from the ether into the physical plane. The arts are literally magic." - Leah Hamilton French, program coordinator, Young Audiences of MA
